The Documents tab lets you configure document relationships and their mapped columns in this interface. A checkbox is available to set the state to either retain document links or not when updating, copying or revising documents.

1. If retain value is turned on, update the document links based on the Excel column value with the following behavior:
   • Blank – do nothing
   • Has data – the document link is added to the given document with the given relationship
   • Not mapped – do nothing.
2. If retain value is turned off, first remove all the document relationships and then for those mapped documents, based on the Excel column value execute the following behavior:
   • Blank – do nothing
   • Has data – add the document link to the given document with the given relationship.
3. If 'Exclude parent - child relationship when copying and revising document' is turned on, when a new revision is created, the parent - child relationship is removed from the revised document. If turned on when the current document is updated, the parent - child relationship is removed from the current document.
   Note: Since you are passing Prefix and Middle of the document to be linked, the import picks the latest revision of the document to link.
